Page builder

The page builder is a full-screen tool for putting pages together out of sections. You open it from a card on Storefront → Appearance rather than from its own row in the sidebar — having it sit next to Appearance as a sibling meant two rows that both looked like the answer to “how does my shop look”, and people kept opening the wrong one.

Sections

A page is a stack of them. Each one has its own settings, and you can reorder, duplicate, hide or delete any of them. The usual suspects: a hero, a product grid, rich text, image-with-text, a collection list, a testimonial, a newsletter signup, a spacer.

Templates and presets

Templates are whole page layouts to start from. Presets are a configured section you can drop in again and again. Both are starting points — everything stays editable once you’ve applied one.

Point a product grid at a collection

Rather than picking products by hand, point the grid at a collection. It then keeps itself up to date as you add things to that collection, which is nearly always what you want for a shop that changes. → Collections

Colours come from your theme

Sections use your theme’s colours, not hard-coded ones, so changing your palette on Appearance updates every page at once. → Appearance

If the builder stops responding

Clicks doing nothing, nothing reacting at all? Reload it. That particular symptom — everything dead, no error — isn’t a page that failed to load, and reloading usually clears it. If it keeps happening, tell us, and mention whether the browser console showed anything.
