# Reviews

> Customer reviews, and moderating them before they go up.

Reviews are attached to a product, and nothing appears on your shop until you've
approved it.

## Moderating

**Catalogue → Reviews.** Everything arrives pending. From there you can:

* **Approve** it, and it goes up on the product page
* **Reject** it, and it never appears
* **Reply** publicly, underneath the review
* Handle a batch at once with bulk approve or reject

<Tip>
  Reply to the critical ones rather than rejecting them.

  A page of nothing but five stars reads as filtered, and shoppers know it. A fair
  reply to a real complaint does more for your conversion rate than making the
  complaint disappear.
</Tip>

## Star ratings in Google

Approved reviews feed your product page's structured data, which is what
produces star ratings under a search result.

Google decides for itself whether to show them, and re-crawling takes time. Don't
expect stars the same afternoon.
